Siphosethu Mtshali
Siphosethu Mtshali was born in Gauteng in the township of Soweto, but relocated to the province of KwaZulu-Natal in 2003 where she spent her childhood and teens between the small town of Glencoe and Nquthu.
With no formal artistic education or training her career sparked up in 2021 when she least expected it.
"I knew that I could draw from a young age because my stick-man was always the best in class, but I never thought to explore other media beyond my HB pencil and paper."
Siphosethu's work is strongly influenced by her thoughts, emotions, childhood and desires - she believes that art is more personal than that, its about sharing the way we experience the world. "its amazing to see how people enjoy experiencing the world with me through my art."
She believes that the art world is forever evolving thus not limiting herself to the medium she utilises, ranging from charcoal, acrylic and pastel paintings
